Hospice Appoints Executive Director Welcome Karen Moore Karen Moore Picton, Ontario June 20, 2017:   The Board of Directors of Hospice Prince Edward (HPE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Moore as the Hospice’s Executive Director effective immediately. “We are excited about Karen’s extensive experience as an educator, trainer and end of life care specialist. She brings a deep sense of commitment to our County’s palliative care work.” said Peter Matthewman, President of Hospice Prince Edward. Interim Executive Director Appointed by Hospice Prince Edward January 9 2017 Picton, ON.   Hospice Prince Edward is pleased to announce that Val MacDonald has been named interim executive director.  With a 30-year career in operations and finance in the private and not for profit sectors, and more than a decade of not for profit volunteer leadership, Val brings to Hospice a remarkable background. The Hospice Prince Edward board of directors, staff and volunteers endorse Val’s leadership and County roots with excitement and gratitude.  Val’s interim, part time role is projected to run until mid-April, or until a replacement is hired.

Wonderful turnout for Annual Community Meeting Hospice Prince Edward held its Annual Community Meeting on October 12 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Picton, and the community response to the invitation to attend was very impressive, with well over 100 donors, community partners, volunteers and Hospice families in the audience. Board Chair and President, Peter Matthewman, addressed the audience, and presented background on board initiatives over the past year, including the new Hospice Prince Edward Foundation bylaws.  Read the full story
