Annette had a thirty-five year career in education, including her final fifteen years as an administrator - Vice Principal and Principal in special needs areas.  Annette has degrees from the University of London England, and York University, Toronto.  During her professional life she was an adjunct professor at both the University of Toronto and York University Faculties of Education.  Upon retirement Annette became a consultant for The University of Maine, introducing teaching strategies to the Toronto Board of Education, and overseeing the visits from the Maine team to the various schools.

Annette has been a visiting volunteer for Hospice Prince Edward for the past seven years, was instrumental in developing the Ruby Young project, and developed a training process for Hospital Home Greeters.
